A series of cultural projects has established Will Alsop as the go-to architect for the urban renaissance since the millennium.

The library at Peckham reset all expectations for institutional building, attracting all ages and sizes in the pursuit of knowledge. Pushing the boundaries of what a public building might be was the challenging agenda set by The Public. This arts and performance venue has defined convention to become a well loved local facility and instant landmark.

The amazing installation of seven rooms, or departments, within a historic convent during the 2003 Valencia Biennale, immersed visitors in a series of contrasting environments and incited a range of sensory, emotional and intellectual responses from visitors.  In all these creative episodes, Will Alsop's own artistic career, echoed by the talents of other aLL staffers, means the doors of perception are open to address the cultural brief.
