Sophie graduated from Wimbledon School of Art (University of the Arts, London) in 1997 with a first class BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre & Costume Design. Since then she has forged dual careers latterly primarily in communications and marketing for creative companies and formerly as a designer for film, TV and theatre.

Sophie began her administrative career with the Evening Standard newspaper, initially as a PA, and then as Office Manager and EA to the Marketing and Circulation Directors. She redesigned and edited Eros News, a weekly ES company newsletter distributed internally and to retailers; managed much of the circulation marketing activity during the 'battle of the freesheets' after Murdoch's London Paper launch, and assisted in the transition of the Evening Standard from a paid title to a freesheet.

Since then she has worked in arts PR for Brunswick Arts as Office Manager and EA to the Managing Partner, working on public relations campaigns for among others; Jerwood Gallery, Lazarides Gallery, the British Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, Creative England, the French Embassy, Venice Biennale and a number of individual artists. She supported Helen Scott Lidgett during her role as Cultural Advisor to Gordon Brown in 2010.

After a six-month stint with the British Council, Cairo, teaching English as a Foreign Language, Sophie joined Will Alsop as his PA in 2011. Later that year she assisted in the formation of aLL Design. Sophie left aLL briefly to join Tate Hindle in Business Development before returning to aLL in 2015 as Communications and Marketing Manager. Sophie now manages aLL's internal and external communications; press, marketing, bid writing and events organisation.

During her freelance theatre, film and TV career Sophie worked with, among others; BBC Television, the NT (National Theatre), Walt Disney Theatrical, the Arts Council, Alison Jackson Studios, Diva Opera and NMEC (the Millennium Dome).

Sophie has written for various publications including Elephant Magazine and currently writes for Seventhsister magazine.
